Phreestyle Sports Publisher for FIFA Course in Sports Management.

Brain behind for one of the leading sports consultancy firms in Nigeria, Phreestyle Sport, Shogo Shodunnke has been granted admission by Federation Internationale Football Association, FIFA to study sports management and strategic studies in South Africa.

The program which is taking place at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa is having about 30 students participating in the course with Shodunnke as the only student from West Africa.

Shodunnke is expected to join other graduating students for advance course in Switzerland.

The program which is in collaboration between FIFA and the International Centre for Sports Studies, CIES will last for eight months.

The delighted Shodunnke was optimistic of securing a final slot for the advance course adding that the experience gathered would further used to better the development of Nigeria sports.

“I’m happy about it (the course) its a great feeling, as the only student from the whole of West Africa makes me excited, I’m giving it a total focus to make it big and move further for the big one in Neuchatel,” Shodunnke begins.

“Its all about what we’ve been preaching at Phreestyle Sport, to continue learning and gather experience and for all stakeholders of sports to have something doing apart from the game they are involved in, we will use the knowledge to better our sports system in Nigeria and the world,” he said.

The CIES is an independent study centre located in Neuchatel, Switzerland. Created in 1995 as a joint venture between FIFA, the University of Neuchatel and State of Neuchatel.

Using a multi-disciplinary approach, CIES provides research, top-level education and consulting services to the sports world with the aim of overcoming the complexities of sports in today’s society and improving how it is governed and managed across all sports.
