Earlier known as the National Ecumenical Centre, The National Church is the primary Christian place of devotions in Nigeria. The church is officially known as the National Christian Centre. Nigeria is a country with an abundant Christian population.

It is located in Central Business Dis, Abuja, the capital city.

The work for the church started way back in 1989. Then it was inoperative till 2004. Suddenly, Christian Association of Nigeria proposed a committee for the expeditious completion of the church. Finally, it was completed in the month of October 2005. It tallied with the independence day.
It instituted by Italian architecture firm Gitto Costruzioni Generali Nigeria Ltd.
The National Church of Nigeria is an inter-denominational church building.

Stained glass windows which employ a simple but attractive mix of yellow, green and red colours can be seen all around the church.
The church is strengthened in a neo-gothic style and has several rotated domes with a wide nave leading to the altar. The altar, placed at the centre of the church completes a full rotation every ten minutes. A pipe organ is adjusted to the right wing of the church, close to which occupies the choir.
When not being used for Christian commemorations, the citizens can visit. Anyone interested in having a look can have guided tours available.
