Ikeja City Mall
The Ikeja City Mall is both shopping mall as well as a cinema hub. It located at Alausa in Ikeja, Lagos State. It is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm.
The construction of Ikeja City Mall started in May 2010 and was originally programmed to open for public in November 2011. Due to some technical reasons, it opened at a somewhat later on 14 December 2011.
The shopping mall has a 5-screen Silverbird Cinema and a Supermarket. The mall has the first and only cinema theatre in Ikeja. It also includes professional amenities for department stores, banks, cafés, bars, eateries, hairdressing/beauty salon, ice-skating arena, etc.
To competently serve customers, the Ikeja City Mall, home to international and regional brands, is set to add new segments to the mall.
According to Manager Mrs Debola Majekodunmi, the mall will have some new children’s section and a cinema hall. Speaking at a recent media announcement, Majekodunmi also stated that the new sections will include a food court, adding
that the step was needed to address the mall a target spot that provisions for all members of the family.
Due to high charge for the parking, around N300 per hour all the stores in the Ikeja City Mall located at were shut down on June 12, 2012, in protest.
It is a two-floor huge mall covering an area of 23,000 square meters. The mall has over 100 brands so that visitors get a good variety of choices. The top floor has the cinema, terrace and plays zone area. The ground floor has a Shoprite Supermarket.
