Best of the hotels in the state are located in Uyo, and apart from Le Méridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort that offers 5 star services, the state lacks top brand hotels. Visitors to outside the state capital will have to make do with small but clean local hotels. Visitors should also expect to see untarred and unmarked roads in some rural areas. It is very important for visitors to be prepared against mosquitoes bite (travel with mosquitoe nets) because the area falls within tropical rainforest.
