McCarthy Beach, Abraka
McCarthy Beach is an attention-grabbing spot for fun seekers. Located in Abraka, Delta state, the beach gets its source from the Ethiope River. The green water is unbelievably clear, that you can see fishes swimming around and the bottom of the river, from the bank. I was in awe when I visited for the first time. There are huts and benches for picnics and mini get-togethers.
If you like to canoe, you can rent a canoe to do some exploring. Swimming pools have also been fashioned from the water’s natural source, so when you are in the pool, you are swimming with exotic fish. You can take a walk on the bridge that runs around the swimming and huts area. McCarthy Beach has a bush bar and barbecue for refreshments.
