IBB International Golf and Country Club, bisected by a number of streams, ponds and lakes with about 25 bridges, is one of the most beautiful parkland courses in sub-saharan Africa, occupying a total area of approximately 101 hectares and the playing distance of 6,098 metres.
Located in the choicest part of Abuja, very close to the Presidential Villa and the Nigerian National Assembly. Built in 1990, the IBB Golf Course maintains an ecological balance between the wildlife and humans.
Prior to construction, the area was a very thick forest, compartmentalized by many small meandering river flows, and housing assorted wild animals and birds.
Today it is about the only place in the bustling and heavily developed part of Abuja, or indeed anywhere in Nigeria, where animals such as crocodiles, monkeys and pythons are found in their natural habitat, harmlessly sharing nature with golfers and their visitors.
As part of the golf course development, the rivers have been dredged to create lakes and enhance aquatic life and beauty.

IBB International Golf Course is a top tourist attraction with beautifully designed landscape and undulating green grass that has hosted numerous golf tournaments (both national and international).
It is a standard 18 holes golf course with other facilities which include club house, club bar and restaurants – managed by Sheraton Hotel & Towers, three men’s locker rooms, two ladies locker rooms, well-equipped workshop, pro-shop, buggy hire, trolley hire and driving range.
IBB International Golf and Country Club is an exclusive club with access for members only.
Entrance fee for membership is Seven hundred and fifty Naira, N750,000 (One hundred thousand Naira, N100,000 for overseas members) and annual subscription of Seventy five thousand Naira,N75,000.
